Eco2Air®:
a virtuous synergy of
sustainable technologies
Eco2Air® technology is based on the synergy between our proprietary Direct Air Capture (DAC) system and an advanced pyrolysis/activation process.
This integrated approach maximizes performance while significantly reducing the resources required for operation.
The result goes beyond the reduction of atmospheric CO₂: the process also generates high–value, eco-sustainable products such as biochar and activated carbons, along with carbon credits.
A truly virtuous ecosystem, designed to accelerate sustainable development in the Real Estate sector.

A material that makes
a difference.
The secret behind Eco2Air® lies in the absorbent material we developed: an innovative formulation of natural salts and activated carbon, created in collaboration with the University of Bicocca.
What makes it different?
Sustainable and circular process
The material naturally attracts CO₂ from the air, without any energy input during the capture phase. Each kilogram is able to absorb up to 150-180 grams of CO₂ – 8 to 10 times as much as a 20-meter Magnolia grandiflora.
Specific granular form
We chose it to increase the surface area exposed to air, enabling the material to continuously and efficiently ‘breathe’ CO₂, with capture beginning instantly and peaking within 48-60 hours.
Renewable material
The real innovation? The material regenerates hundreds of times, requiring minimal periodic replenishment. Once saturated, it undergoes a sustainable process and is ready for a new cycle. It is the opposite of disposable; it is designed to last.
Three steps for
a sustainable, infinite cycle.
Eco2Air®’s CO₂ capture system is efficient, circular and sustainable. The compound we developed does not degrade, and the whole process, divided into three phases, is powered by clean energy.

Passive Capture
The material is placed in filters and exposed to airflow in “drawers”; CO₂ capture then starts instantly, without any energy use.
Once saturated, the material needs to be regenerated and will be ready for a new cycle.

Stripping and Purification
The filter regeneration takes place by stripping the collection, using a rotary induction furnace.
The CO₂ then goes through a purification system. The whole process can be powered by an electrical supply provided by photovoltaics or other renewable energy sources.
The result is CO₂ with a purity over 99.8%, meeting food-grade standards.

Storage and Utilization
Purified CO₂ is then compressed, liquefied, and stored in tanks or cylinders for permanent sequestration or use in sustainable supply chains.

CO₂ as a resource
Depending on the technology applied, Eco2Air® produces various outputs.
Some are used in sustainable supply chains, while others serve an even more important purpose: sequestering the CO₂ captured from the atmosphere, permanently.
Thanks to controlled management and constant monitoring at every stage, the system also allows for the creation of certified carbon credits.

Liquid food-grade CO₂
Food-grade CO₂ is added directly to food and beverages to ensure effervescence, extended shelf life and stability.
Thanks to its high purity (over 99.8%), it can be safely incorporated during packaging and dispensing, preserving product taste and quality.

CO₂ for other industrial and agricultural uses
CO₂ also plays a key role in many industrial and agricultural processes. In vertical farms, for instance, CO₂ is used to increase its availability to plants, accelerating photosynthesis and improving crop growth and yield.
Thanks to level control, CO₂ is reused efficiently, making vertical farming an ideal sector to maximize its potential.

Permanent CO₂ Sequestration
CO₂ intended for permanent sequestration is carefully directed into deep rock formations or ocean layers, where it is stored, stably and securely. Continuous monitoring and dedicated systems ensure the gas is safely contained, contributing effectively to the reduction of atmospheric carbon emissions.
This process enables the generation of carbon credits.

Biochar
CO₂ in biomass can be captured and stabilized in biochar, a carbon-rich material produced through pyrolysis that complements the DAC system. By integrating it into biochar, carbon is securely and permanently stored in the soil, improving soil fertility and water retention.
Controlled processes and dedicated materials make this approach effective in reducing atmospheric emissions and turning CO₂ into a sustainable resource.
This enables the generation of carbon credits.

Activated Carbon
When activated, Biochar becomes activated carbon, with enhanced adsorption capabilities due to its chemical-physical properties and porous structure. This turns CO₂ into a valuable resource for filtration, purification, and odor removal.

Inert Materials
Through mineralization, CO₂ is incorporated into the production of inert materials, promoting solidification and improving stability and durability.
With strict gas quality control and specialized systems, CO₂ contributes to producing safe and high-performing materials, turning emissions into a valuable resource for construction and industry.
This also allows for the generation of carbon credits.
PYRO Technology: a Reliable Ally
Pyrolysis is a process that breaks down biomass particles at high temperatures (500–1000 °C) in the absence of oxygen. Essentially, it is a controlled carbonization that produces three main products: syngas, bio-oil, and biochar.
Biochar can be used directly or further refined chemically or thermally to achieve specific properties, while always maintaining its carbon sequestration function.
The process also delivers a favorable carbon balance: each kilogram of biochar corresponds to 2–3 kg of CO₂ equivalent prevented from entering the atmosphere.
Unlike natural biomass decomposition, which releases nearly all carbon into the atmosphere, pyrolysis traps about half of the biomass carbon within the highly stable structure of biochar, where it can remain sequestered for hundreds of years, effectively removing CO₂ from the atmosphere.
